The Kent Historical Society has come up with the perfect activity for you, your family or friends who want a socially distanced afternoon walk. Pick up a free copy of the newly published Walking Tour of Standing Rock Cemetery and begin exploring some of the seventy-seven interesting people within the cemeteries beautifully landscaped paths. Out of more than 17,000 people buried there, the Historical Society team of Roger Di Paolo, Kent’s resident Historian along with long time KHS activists Sandy and Henry Halem, have created a tour that includes artists and architects, community activists, soldiers, business entrepreneurs, entertainers and educators in show of the diversity of people who have “lived, worked, created and come home to rest in the town we call Kent.”
