KHS is not just a historical society, but also a museum located near beautiful downtown Kent, Ohio. We have an abundance of Kent artifacts, and guess what? You can touch, sit, and immerse yourself in Kent’s rich history. You’re welcome to visit during regular hours, schedule time with our experts, or plan a field trip. Come see our collection of historic artifacts and collections. Admission is always free!
Parking is available in the back of the KHS, with additional parking in the Court House parking lot. When parking at the KHS, avoid spaces reserved for the fraternity next door.
The Kent Historical Society & Museum invites you to bring your class for a tour of our Museum. We are located in a beautiful Victorian home that was built for a member of the Kent family. Students will enjoy artifacts and stories about Native Americans, the first settlers and prominent Kent families who helped shape our community. We have a train room, a parlor, a barbershop display and a kid’s room full of toys and artifacts that encourage interaction and exploration. Tours can be adjusted to each class based on size and age. If you would like to schedule a tour please contact the Director, Julie Kenworthy, 330-678-2712.
